On May 23rd, 2017. Korea-Croatia Business Forum “2017 ITS ROAD SHOW” was held at the Westin Hotel organized by the Korean Business Center in Zagreb (KOTRA). The main objective of this conference was to better connect the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Croatia and the surrounding countries in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The welcome speech with wishes for the success of the Forum was held by Mr. Lee, Sang Heon (Director of ITS Road Safety Division, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport – MOLIT), Mr. Tomislav Mihotić (State Secretary at the Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure – MPPI), HE Mr. Park, Wonsup, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mr. Oh, Hyeokjong, President, KOTRA Frankfurt. Within the forum, presentations on the status and ITS development plans were held in Korea and Croatia and an overview of the state of the ITS industry. ITS Croatia, as co-organizer of the meeting, was represented by the president prof. Sadko Mandžuka. In his presentation prof. Sadko Mandžuka wanted this first contact to be fruitful and that ITS Croatia would use the ITS Korea experience to improve economic development, to improve the quality of the transport system using ITS solutions, and to develop the proper Croatian ITS industry and its better representation in the activities of the association. He also pointed out the significance and role of ITS Study at the Faculty of Transport Sciences of the University of Zagreb, its connection with the European ITS environment and work on European and domestic ITS projects. He particularly emphasized the involvement of the ITS Institute in the development of cooperative systems through the FP7 ICSI project and future initiatives in this respect. The relevant Memorandum of Understanding between ITS Korea and ITS Croatia was also signed in the framework of the meeting.
