A short video clip by PReVENT shows a short review of lateral collision prevention technology. This systems are responsible for prevention of traffic accidents. They are processing, in real time, sensor input data, vehicle-to-vehicle communication data, data from digital maps and vehicle positioning technology in order to prevent rear and lateral collisions.

In order to solve a problem with a different telephone numbers for emergency cases across Europe, EU introduced a unique dispatching service - 112. This is an EU response to the constant accession of number of travelers in Europe, because very few people knows the emergency service numbers in each EU country (every country has their own). The 112 dispatchers are capable of answering the calls in several European languages and they are in position that enables effective coordination of different emergency services. This video clip by eSafety Support shows the new technology - eCall. In case of traffic accidents the vehicle automatically emmits distress call to the dispaching service. The advantage of this technology is in a quick response to this type of call by dispachers and faster response of the emergency services. Statisticaly, this technology saves 2500 lives every year in the European Union. Ofcourse, eCall needs support (informational and technological) from dispaching centers (112), traffic management centers and vehicles.

ERTICO has released a video to promote the ITS Congresses. The clip was premiered on the ERTICO stand at the New York ITS World Congress in November 2008. It features highlights from the European ITS Congress in Geneva in June 2008 and interviews with Partners and Exhibitors.
