CIVITAS-ELAN working activities Print E-mail

Under Members Section --> Projects we’ve already informed you about the project CIVITAS-ELAN (CIty-VITAlity-Sustainability), founded by the European Commission. Several members of ITS Croatia association are engaged in the project and its’ scientific research, implementation and evaluation of several measures:
  1. Study of congestion charging and dialogue on pricing
  2. Mobility management for large institutions
  3. Public transport priority and traveller information

Within these measures certain activities has been started in demonstration area (ELAN corridor) of Zagreb. Main objective of these activities is congestion level reduction, increasing average vehicle speed, improvement of Quality of Service of public transport, promotion of ‘’clean’’ modes (walking, cycling etc.).

In regards to data collection and implementation of the measures some key activities have already started such as modal split calculation, usage of georeferenced video and multisensory technology for traffic flow data collection etc.
